This factory makes dreams in the films !

Good Day Folks !

Welcome to Filmic Dreams Factory. The factory is humming with the pre-production of its first film - Take My Coat.

Take My Coat is a full length feature film scheduled to begin production in June 2008. It is planned to be submitted in 2010 Toronto Film Festival as well as other film festivals in Europe and India in 2009/2010.

As aptly suggested in the name, Filmic Dreams Factory will begin the pre-production of the next feature film - The Intent in January 2009.

The third and fourth films of the factory - I can See you and From Your Eyes - both short films - are in preproduction currently. Shooting of For Your Eyes will begin in June.

Sweet Corn In The Belly is a feature film a conceptual stage.

Synopsis of the film - Take My Coat

Take My Coat is about the platonic relationship that evolves over the course of one week between two apparently incompatible protagonists. The incompatibility is in terms of age, appearance, cultural background, inherent personality and most importantly the language. The coat is the cause, the reason and the thread tying and bringing them at an interesting juncture of life

Synopsis of the Short Films - I Can See You & From Your eyes

I Can See You is about the secondary school student who is going to see the drama in an open theater in the summer. Where he experiences the first bite of the love bug. Can this love be unconditional ? Is his love conventional?

From Your Eyes is about a short ride in a cab that an elderly man takes with a visually impaired girl. Beautiful moments arrive when sometimes least expected!

Synopsis of the film - The Intent

The Intent is about a young girl sophomore taking up the job as a caretaker with an elderly history professor. The girl has taken this job with the intent. However, after spending some time with the professor, she questions her intent. An unconventional story is about the history, memory and unconditional love.

Synopsis of the film - Sweet Corn In The Belly

Who knew the topsy turvy path of the destiny will bring her to the other side of the globe?

Katya took a leap of faith into a a roller coaster ride - all the way to to a mystic country in a small village.

Where she lived blissful moments of life without the trace of time and space - with the newfound soulmate !

Catarina – Female // Caucasian // 16 to 20 years old // Lead
She is European visiting Canada on a personal mission. She has an innocent face that looks 19 or younger. She has bubbly & careless personality of a restless youth and yet displays feminine demeanor. She emotes very well and her body language is expressive. She can speak one European language (other than English) fluently.

Victor – Male // Caucasian // 45 to 50 years old // Support Actor
Canadian-Spanish father of the female protagonist. He is a womanizer who likes to have fun in life - the primary drive in life. He is extrovert and talkative at times. He can speak Spanish fluently. This role amounts to 20+ minutes in the film

Mr. Stockwel – Male // Any Race // 55-70 years old // Supporting Role
He is a wealthy Canadian art connoisseur with a hobby of painting and/or sculpting. He speaks with authority and has impressive personality. This role has about 10 minutes in the film with a few dialogues.

Requirements:
1. No pay compensation volunteer work. Meals will be provided
2. Willing and able to improvise enthusiastically and tirelessly. Ability to act impromptu and improvising on the script is required
3. Able to patiently work with inexperienced non-professional team members coming from diverse cultural backgrounds. While contributing, some actors and crew members will be enthusiastically learning from this project
4. Desire to work in a realistic art film that is not the mainstream commercial cinema
5. These are Non-Union positions

Q1. Why do you think that these films are candidates for the film festivals?
A2. Filmic Dreams Factory strives to pick unique and compelling stories. We believe our films will bring a novel wave for the audience experience. Some of the signature highlights of our films are:

- Accentuate subliminal human communication and chemistry that the viewer can relate personalize
- Subtly capture sight and sound that crosses human conditioning of the conscious mind.
- A strong undercurrent of dissipating human pathos through unconditional love

Above all, our team the conviction in and pours their hearts to make our movies a moving experience!

Q2. What is the experience level of team members?
A2. Some of the team members have done commercial projects including feature films. Majority of the team members have done at least a few non commercial projects. Expect students learning on this project while working hard and contributing. The director has never directed any feature film before (Take My Coat will be his first film)

Q3. What type of camera will be used to shoot the film?
A3. Panasonic HVX 200 - High-end professional HD, 3 CCD Camcorder – favorite in Indie films

Q4. Where will be the film shot?
A4. Mainly in Toronto Downtown and partly in greater Toronto including Oakville.

Q5. When can I read the script?
A5. As soon as our mutual interest in working together develops
